Macaw Lodge at Climate Week in New York
We are delighted to invite you to a very special event during Climate Week in New York .
On September 27th at 9:30 a.m. at Pier 57, we will begin with a unique experience: listening live to the sounds of nature from Macaw Lodge, broadcast by ODA Radio (https://odaradio.com/radio_
The ODA group has been developing an inspiring bioacoustic project at Macaw Lodge, capturing the voices of the forest to explore biodiversity through sound art and science.
At 10:00 a.m., a conversation will follow with David George Haskell, acclaimed biologist, researcher, and writer, Pulitzer Prize finalist, and author of ‘The Forest Unseen’ and ‘The Songs of Trees’. His work beautifully weaves science, poetry, and ethics to illuminate the profound connections between humanity and the natural world. It is an honor for Macaw Lodge to serve as the setting for ODA’s bioacoustic work, now shared on such an inspiring international platform.
